Becky owns and manages BTaylor Public Affairs. After her early years as a journalist covering municipal, county and state governments, and then leading public affairs functions in state agencies, she provided communications services for businesses large and small before establishing her own company in 2008. She has a proven track record in strategic communications planning and execution, media, community and employee relations, and materials production for print, broadcast and web.
Bristol-Myers Squibb: Specialized in strategic communications, strategic philanthropy and managing relations at the community level. Responsibilities at various times included media relations, crisis communications, issues management and policy communications.
Governor Whitman: As Gov. Christie Whitman’s communications director and press secretary, she was lead spokesperson for the governor and managed media relations, strategic communications planning, speech writing and event coordination. She staffed the governor at a major party convention and on international trade missions as well as in national and local appearances.
Lawrence-Hopewell Trail: Conceived and still leads a community project creating a 23-mile biking and walking trail that the N.J. Department of Transportation has lauded as the first corporate-driven community transportation project involving public and private partners in the nation. Lawrence Township Community Foundation: In 2002, Becky co-founded the Lawrence Township Community Foundation, which gives funds to local nonprofits and organizations serving the needs of area residents, and supports community improvement and development programs. Becky, her husband Matthew, and their two spoiled dogs are proud Trenton residents. Outside of work, Becky is an avid consumer of books and coffee. She is a fierce defender of critters of all shapes and sizes in her neighborhood.
